The Property Litigation Association (PLA) has appointed PR and communications specialist Meaningful to advise on a broad communications remit including media relations, wider stakeholder relations and assisting in positioning and message development. The account win is the latest in a series for Meaningful, building on the agency’s successful track record working in real estate, property law and with membership organisations.
The PLA is a members’ organisation for professionals specialising in property litigation, including commercial, residential and agricultural property law. The Association has around 1,400 members and plays an important role in campaigning for improvements in property law, the court service and a wide range of litigation related issues.
The PLA is chaired by Mathew Ditchburn, who combines the role with his work as partner and head of real estate disputes at Hogan Lovells. He will be working closely with Meaningful to enhance the PLA’s reach and impact in the coming 12 months. Commenting on the news Mathew said,
“2022 is shaping up to be one of the most important years ever for property litigators, with challenges arising from the ongoing fallout from the pandemic, including the new arbitration process for dealing with commercial rent arrears. The PLA plays a vital role supporting and advocating for the profession and we are delighted to have Meaningful on board to make sure we generate the profile we need to do that effectively.”

Meaningful has already begun work, with a focus on ensuring the PLA is:
- actively engaged in key conversations about property law and legal reform
- a ‘go to’ organisation for all things property law related
- positioned to offer expert legal comment, insight and analysis to national and trade press
